What this means for your family

Organisation of educators: what it means for your child

Our educator organisation consistently reflects our Philosophy of shared responsibility, inclusion, calm supervision, responsive relationships and respect for each child's agency. Roles, positioning and relief induction follow staffing, supervision and communication procedures. Our educators adapt to children's cues while maintaining clear responsibilities, so learning, wellbeing and family communication remain consistent across rooms, routines and staffing changes. For your family, this means the right educators are organised in the right places to support children's safety, relationships and learning. Meet the team and see how professional collaboration strengthens each child's day.

What families can expect

Educators you can rely on.

Four practical commitments make the Quality Area meaningful for children and families.

01

The right people are in place

Qualifications, experience, strengths and children’s relationships inform how teams are organised.

02

Children know their educators

Continuity and thoughtful handovers help relationships stay secure across the day.

03

Teams communicate

Educators share observations, responsibilities and decisions so care and learning remain connected.

04

Professionalism is visible

Ethical conduct, reflection and respectful collaboration shape the experience families receive.

The seven Quality Areas

What quality feels like for your family.

Each area turns the National Quality Standard into experiences families can recognise at Hawthorn Street. Together, the seven pages contain all 200 family stories.

Acknowledgement of Country

We learn together on Wiradjuri Country.

We acknowledge the Tubbagah People of the Wiradjuri Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet and learn. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge their continuing spiritual connection to Country.
